1. Dog-Friendly Restaurant: Mutts Canine Cantina

Mutts Canine Cantina has restaurants in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Allen, Texas. This amazing venue not only has some aptly named dishes on the menu, such as the Mutt Burger and the Skinny Mutt Sandwich, they also have a drinks menu featuring Hair of the Dog and Yappy Hour!

But the menu is not the only thing to get excited about at Mutts. This cool hang-out has an actual dog park for your canine best buddy to play in, off-leash. Your doggo can also hang with you on the patio on-leash as you enjoy your drinks!

Mutts even has a few dog-friendly menu items for your fur kid to nibble on after they work up an appetite in the dog park, including a ‘Pupsicle’, which comes on an edible stick. Oh, and did we mention you can throw your dog a birthday party at Mutts? What more could you ask for?

2. Dog-Friendly Brewery: Alarmist Brewing

Alarmist Brewing is situated in Chicago, Illinois. You can enjoy not only beer in their taproom, but they also have a great wine and cocktail menu.

The owners of Alarmist Brewing are not only happy to serve you their flagship IPAs, pale ales, and lagers, but they are also happy for you to take your dog with you. This is on the proviso that you keep your four-legged friend leashed and with you at your table at all times because, y’know, dogs. Sounds fair!

Alarmist Brewing will also let you take in your own food and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy whilst having a brew.

3. Dog-Friendly Bar: Wet Dog Tavern

If you and your dog are ever in Washington D.C., then check out the Wet Dog Tavern.

This bar is actually named in honor of the owner’s Golden Retriever, Lilly Sophia, who sadly passed away. The proprietors are active in supporting the community and the Humane Rescue Alliance through their fund-raising efforts.

Canine visitors can hang with their human on the dog-friendly patio, where they will have access to water bowls, dog treats, and a cosy nook to curl up when they are pooped after saying hello to all their new friends.

4. Dog-Friendly Restaurants Chains

These chain restaurants are to be found all over the U.S., so if you are traveling with your pooch in tow and need to stop for refreshment, look out for one of these venues:

    • Starbucks
    • Olive Garden
    • Applebees
    • Dairy Queen
    • Shake Shack

Looking For Dog-Friendly Restaurants Near You?

A quick Google search will reveal dog-friendly restaurants, breweries and bars near you. In this day and age, owning a dog is more popular than ever, and dog owners want to be able to eat, drink and be merry at venues that not only tolerate dogs but actively encourage them to come along.

At the very least, many dog-friendly establishments will offer an outdoor area for you to sit with your leashed dog, and some drinking water for them to lap at whilst you enjoy your own beverage. Many more restaurants and bars are taking a love of dogs to the next level by providing designated play areas and doggy menu items for their canine customers.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your hound, head out to a dog-friendly restaurant, brewery, or bar, and let the good times roll!
